October 28, 200718 yr hi i am a lvl 76 f2p...i have 71 str and 42 def.. i am lookin for a good place to get those 2 up, i would like it not to be a high risk or a place where u have to use lots of food.
October 28, 200718 yr Level 3 SoS spiders. That's where I train (75 combat). Treasure trail items: 9Dragon drops: 0
October 29, 200718 yr If you don't want to use food. Attack guards at town gates or edgeville. At your level most high-level monsters have to be used with food. Im training at lessers right now and it does drain food yes, But as you get better the amount you use will become less I see level 50-70 training here all the time. Maybe give lessers a trial run? Help me starting out again - Give YOUR advice! If you're collecting in game "hyt's" send me a message here or in game :D
October 29, 200718 yr Flesh Crawlers on the second level of the Stronghold of Security work great. They have 25 Hitpoints each so that's 100 experience points per Flesh Crawler and they don't take long to kill at all. All you really need as far as food goes is just some cooked Trout and Salmon which you can fish just outside in the Barbarian Village. Plus, they respawn fast making training even quicker. They don't have any useful drops other than uncut gems here and there, but they're all about fast experience. I've been training my Strength there for the longest time. Retired Member

October 29, 200718 yr I would definitely do flesh crawlers, hill giants or hobgoblins. Hill giants are crowded unless you do the hill giants in the maze. Still, I meet very little pkers in that area. But, rule is, if you see a white dot, log and get on your scout. Hobgoblins, best place is in the wilderness, but, you could also do the peninsula or the ice cave. Hobgoblins also drop a lot of limpwurt roots which, can fetch about 1k a root. So, you could make quite a bit of money if you bank them.
October 29, 200718 yr Ice giants in the ice pleatau in level 43 wild, giant spiders or flesh crawlers. Retired from runescape. I will be on every now and then though. :)
October 29, 200718 yr lvl 52 spiders in security stronghold since ther aggressive and they just line up in the hundreds... get urself ur full rune and loads of trout....and jst stand ther with auto retaliate on 99 Strength Achieved 26/9/08. L0L in 3 years I've made 7m. In the past 2 days I've made 7.2m on top of that thanks to Bounty Hunter. So why play for 3 years when you can do that?
October 29, 200718 yr hi i am a lvl 76 f2p...i have 71 str and 42 def.. i am lookin for a good place to get those 2 up, OK, with 42 DEF you will use a lot of food when fighting higher level monsters. i would like it not to be a high risk or a place where u have to use lots of food. Ok, that suggests fighting lower level monsters. In this thread you have received some good advice... as well as some, hmm, less carefully thought out advice. You earn Melee exp according to HitDone*4 The level of the monster doesn't matter. If you hit a 2 on a lumbridge rat then you will earn 8 in exp. If you hit a 2 on a wildy Greater Demon, then you will earn the exact same 8 in exp. But fighting and killing that GD is gonna take time and food. The fastest melee training occurs when you are constantly hitting something. If you can find a place crowded with monsters and/or a place with fast respawn times, then you can earn steady exp because you have a steady supply of things to hit. If that place has lower level monsters then you can kill them quickly and not use much, if any, food. Ths SoS if full of rooms like that. The monsters get harder as you go down deeper in the SoS so you can find some monsters that offer "optimum" training. That is, steady killing without using much food. Higher level monsters offer more exp per monster killed, but each kill is gonna take time (higher level monsters have higher DEF) and food (higher level monsters have higher ATK and STR). So, you will use more food and take more risk compared to a lower level monster. But since you earn exp according to the hit that you make on the monster, then why bother with the higher levels at all? Well, higher level monsters do offer much better loot. So, if you want training with some decent cash drops and some decent loot, then train on MG, IG, LD, and GDs. But if you want steady exp with very little risk and food use, then train on lower level monsters. Try the fleshcrawlers in the SoS. Hope this helps
