November 2, 200718 yr How can I reduce any or all the lag produced by the Hypercam? I just got one and I want to record some stuff. Any advice would be great or maybe a link to a non laggy downloadable version? I don't know much about it but I would like to take the lag away :wall:

November 2, 200718 yr Author I just got a new computer 3 months ago thank you very much lol How old it is doesn't really mean how good it is, throw us some specs? November 2, 200718 yr I get almost no lag on hypercam... its probably your comp or connection No, it's definitely either your computer or a poor connection.
November 2, 200718 yr Author You dont understand I have the best connection available and a very good computer, so if I could get some real information instead of the "Need a better connection or computer" If I can reduce some numbers on the hypercam or anything else. thanks
November 2, 200718 yr Well we can't give you any specific help unless you post the specs of your computer and internet connection. "Best", and "good" area very subjective words.
November 2, 200718 yr Author Well we can't give you any specific help unless you post the specs of your computer and internet connection. "Best", and "good" area very subjective words. And yet again i told you i dont know what "specs" are and dont know much about the computer in detail, sooo, like I said, tell me where i can find them and ill look for them.
November 2, 200718 yr Spec are specifications. If you are using the "unregistered hypercam 1" that one used to lag my computer a lot too and my computer isn't that bad. I switched to another hypercam that is a lot less laggy, and I think its called autoscreenrecorder from wisdom software. I've used it for a while, and I don't think its that bad. Retired from runescape. I will be on every now and then though. :)
November 2, 200718 yr Control panel < System < General: you'll see how much RAM the computer has. This generally governs how much lag you get from programs. If you're running lots of apps, e.g. firefox, swiftswitch, iTunes all at once you're much more likely to lag. Try recording using hypercam with rs running in an internet explorer window and nothing else at all running on your computer.
November 2, 200718 yr Your computer specs ok, first, your RAM , thats Random Access memory, needs to be good, id say 1gigs minimun, Secondly ur video card, as its Runescape u'll need a cheap one, but with hypercam, get about 64megs minumum, Thirdly, get a GOOD, Fast, reliable internet connetion, wireless is fine. changing hypercam to lower lagg Then open hypercam, clikc on the AVI files tab, at the bottom it says Frame compression quality, fidly around with this to lessen or worsen the lagg the higher the percentage the more u'll lagg but also the higher the quality of the video, fidle around with it untill u have a nice balance all skills 60 plus!! (50 summoning)currently going for first 99, Firemaking in world 130 - grand exchange (west)
