You could always zoom in RuneScape, you just needed some illigal software for it, but the possibility has always been there. Jagex never added into the game because of a reason that only they know. No one even thought about it being an update. Everyone just pretty much knew it was a feature that only jagex had. I don't see why people are thinking this is an update...
