Ive been killing the KQ (twice now) using the black mask method, and am finding it quite enjoyable. However, I wonder, should I switch to slayer dart for the 2nd form? Im not sure how effective this is, it'd certainly be safer but.. would it be worth it?

if your going to do switch attacks you definitely want to use range not mage. its more effective. rune c'bow with diamond bolts or crystal bow if you have. dont use ruby bolts since you want max hp at all times

Of course, I could also continue using dds++ and whip with black mask on the second form. Slayer dart of course, does have the advantage of being able to wear torags with.

no always pray mage. just bring like a karils top instead of full d hide. trust me, range hits so much better than mage. you want to kill her as fast as possible so it wouldnt be smart using mage.

ot:dimond bolts are exelent and you'll still hit high if your just wearing a ranging top

yea i meant range is better than mage lol. if you have to bank between forms then you might as well put a range outfit on. if you can manage her in 1 trip just bring a karil top or d hide top with you and put it on. you dont need a huge range bonus since the diamond bolts with help a lot

I currently take 3 trips but I can probably take it down to 2 trips by buying some Torags instead of using full rune (I was experimenting really).

take a crystal bow with you. the only effective way really to melee the second form is veracs. a bow and range top with speed things up

Range the second form, melee first, with a whip.

 

 

 

Don't mage, "Can use Torags". <- No, that's for killing things with extremely low magic defence levels.

 

 

 

If you use range, and use full karils with good magic defence, stand back one step and use ranged pray, unless you're soloing, use magic pray and have dharok helm/legs or whatever with Karils top.

I have killed the kq in 2 trips with full veracs solo, so if you're taking 3 trips, you might as well just use veracs. Maybe use mask for the first form and switch to v helm for second.

Anyway, what recharge level should I stop using Crystal Bow at?

I'd use verac skirt instead of torag legs for the prayer bonus
