From what I hear and see on TIF avansies seem to be a very nice monster for money, but from the one guide I found only prayer was given as an option. I was wondering if I could get a decent ammount of kills (60-100+) without using prayer (possibly wearing a melle barrows piece for the defence)?

 

 

 

Also, I think they range but am not sure, do they use range or melle?

i'm killing them as i type this while i wait for spiritual warriors to respawn. I'm 99 def unpotted and wearing full void.. so minimal def bonuses. I can only really kill the lvl 73s and 78's and they're just manageable. the good thing is they drop bones so i reckon i could do a trip just killing them and healing with peaches, i'd have to get some better def gear tho. As for the higher leveled ones, i'd definitly say you need prayer for them.

Hmm, I may try ranging them in Torag while using def pots, I might not hit much but at least I might get somewhere with it :wink: Still wondering if they have a ranged attack though, which would let me safely range them from away and switch to d hide.

it is possible to do it if you use go down the small alley way style place. No point though its slow going.

 

 

 

Best thing is def using prayer - I for instance use the following from top to bottom

Monk's rob top-------------------------------------+6 prayer

 

God Stole-------------------------------------------+10 prayer

 

Monk's robe legs or Templar knights Cuisse----+5

 

Barrows Gloves no bonus

 

God Book-------------------------------------------+5 prayer

 

God Crozier (if using magic)----------------------+6 prayer

 

God Cloak------------------------------------------+3 prayer

 

White Knight boots---------------------------------+1 prayer

 

 

 

Total Prayer Bonus 41

 

 

 

You can last ages with only 6 p pots - i can normally get 140+ addy bars and alot of rune daggers to alch, along with that u get weeds so rannars come along and replace some used pots.

 

 

 

Using range isnt bad either take a crossbow and your only losing 6 prayer bouns

using prayer will make you way more money in the long run. with 20 p pots you can get 400 or more addy bars a trip. sell them at 2.8k a piece and you make over 1mil, then just buy some more p pots and go again. you will get like 50 or less kills a trip using barrows armor for def and sharks to heal so it wouldnt be worth it. it would be a waste of time

Oh yeh forgot the Pendant of Armadyl when worn means they dont attack you instantly

As long as you have an armadyl pendant, sara and zammy item killing them prayerless is a cake walk. However along with those god items you must wear a leg and helm piece of barrows melle armour, you're range bonus still remains good.
