For some reason, I find instrumental music (and as such most post-rock bands) to be more emotive than anything with vocals or lyrics - perhaps that's because they are only able to create mood through sound rather than language. They succeed at that more than virtually any other group of musicians I can think of. I've got The Earth Is Not a Cold Dead Place, and intend to complete the collection soon. I really hope that they come here soon, or that I can somehow miraculously go to an All Tomorrow's Parties, which they'll probably be on again soon. I haven't listened to their other stuff, but I really like it. I don't listen to it much though, got to have the right moment.
