what ways are there to make a sig a smaller size(bytes), because most of mine are over the limit.

save as .png

do not save as png, just crop it to paint and host with imageshack not photubcket

Errmm... no, don't save as png. Unless your using paint and you made a pixel picture. PNG is high quality but bigger file size. If its an abstractish kinda thingy picture and your using a prog like photoshop or gimp, then do JPG.

Both of these are umm.. drastically wrong. Sorry guys. Just save as Jpeg, and put the quality bar down a bit. Should do it.

im the same as Adolpha i only have ms paint and always save as png. its good for my work. dunno it may not be as good for you however.....

i find .gif works fine if .png is too big :?

i dont find png. too big usaly its smaller than jpeg. ! just me then.....

well i have abstract sigs that are like 37 kb each, and they need to be 30 kb. they are gif files right now, but when i change them the size doesnt change. any ideas other than just making the picture smaller

On Photoshop, go to Save for web...Then on the right, click the arrow, and click "Optimize to file size."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Type in 29Kb, and it should fit under tip.it sizes.

Actually... that's really completely off. Your best bet, if you have Photoshop, is to follow Carlos74's advice.

 

 

 

Or alternatively, go to save for web, and expiriment with the settings until you get a size and quality you're happy with.
