I know it's a little too hard to figure out drop rates, but what about gem rates from regular ores (like copper, iron, tin, clay, coal, mithril, etc.)?

 

 

 

Anyone have any experience? Mining nothing but coal for the last hour has netted me one ruby, two emeralds, and five sapphires. Since I started, I've mined nearly 600 ores. I'm not sure the percentages, but do you think that's high or low?

Are you wearing a charged glory? It improved the chance of getting a gem by alot for me.

No, I'm not a member, but as we speak (as I read your post), I mined another ruby, so add that to the total.

with a charged glory i get one almost every trip! without one like 1 every 5 trips...

It's as hard to tell as monster drops really on thing you can say is wear a glory if your p2p (I know your not.) You could do what some are doing with the ROW and record results over 1000s of ores mined. But thats just boring.

With a glory i usually get 1 gem per inventory.. i cant remember exactly what it was when i mined on f2p but i think it was around 1 gem every 3 inv's.

Glory increases gem rates not RoW. Plus he said he is f2p. I find that I get a lot more gems when I wear glory. Thats why I don't wear it wilst mining anymore. =P
