alot of people start guides on pmg but not finish. A way to save progress would be helpful as well as "spell check" button. you can add the "save progress" button next to "submit" and "preview".

I don't get it. A PMG should be completely finished and ready for posting BEFORE it's posted to the site. You should be typing your guide into a word processor or on Notepad before posting it to the forums.

As for spell check, your browser should have it built in.

I have no idea what browser you use, but Firefox doesn't have auto spell check and I don't believe IE does either. Infact, this is the first I've ever heard of a browser having spell check.

Firefox does have a built in spell checker. I think you need version 2.0+ for it. If you have version 2.0+ then:

 

Tools - Options - Advanced - General, under that there is Browsing & a box for:check my spelling as I type.

As Kiara said, first type it up a Word Processor that has spell check. To preview your guide periodically, click the "New Topic" button, put your guide in the post box, but put nothing in the title. That way, you can preview it, and in case you accidentally hit "Submit", it won't post the topic because it doesn't have a title. :D

So you're right, mine's checked aswell and I've never seen it in action. I guess I either don't make any typos or it just doesn't work... I'm going to go with the not working part.

You have to download your languages dictionary also, go to here and download your language dictionary. Takes about 10 seconds.

I agree 100% with Kiara. If you're making a guide, you should spend a couple hours researching and writing it. Therefore, it would make the most sense to type it up on a word document, so you can constantly be saving it. Your word document should have a spellchecker, and if not, I don't know why you'd use that program anyway. Then once it's complete, you can post it in the PMG section, at which point there should be no need for a built-in spellchecker.
