November 11, 200718 yr J just got a job in a country club here ^^ over winter (nov, dec, jan, feb) I dont want to know about the job, just about the area Is it nice? How do you get into the city from here? Is it far from the city? Is there anything i should watch out for? What should i expect? Anything else you can tell me would help, i know the question is very specific for a worldwide forum, but hopefully you can think of something.
November 11, 200718 yr Greenwhich in NYC is where Bob Dylan among other great musicians have their roots. The culture club of the 60's! With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.
November 12, 200718 yr Author Love Dylan, keen to see heaps of live acts during my time in the states the lack of response tells me the question is too specific, I should probably be less lazy and do some of my own research, a personal response would have been nice though.
November 13, 200718 yr I go to school in CT and live near NYC, so I know a little bit about the area. It's a pretty well-off area :o. I might have heard something about it being the richest in the country? That may be incorrect, though. But it's up there. New Haven and New York City have a bit more going on that's fun to do, though :D And the MetroNorth commuter railway goes right to Greenwich from NYC, so that's a really easy trip into the city. Have fun :D Everybody hug and spread the love :D
November 13, 200718 yr Scott just told me about this, daaaaaaaaaang dude! You are going to be making some serious money in tips. That country club is in one of the richest part of the US of A. (56th to be exact) (430k per person is the average income) The place where everybody drives 1 Hummer, 1 Bentley, 1 BMW, 1 Lincoln, and 1 Porsche for each day of the week. No joke. I bet a lot of Greenwichers do. Get ready for some caassssssh...you are going to get some major NY-Area celebrities and rich kids. Houses that You Will See: If you are wondering, Vince McMahon (owner of billion? dollar organization, the WWE is from there, HHH, one of the wrestlers is from there, George HW Bush, Mel Gibson, Jack Nicholson, Adam Sandler, Regis Philbin, Steve Young (NFL HOF QB for the 49ers), Allan Houston (Bball for NY Knickerbockers?). That list is past/present. Not sure which is which. But those are the guys I know of. Lol if you are saving up for a laptop or ps3, you might as well buy it after the first week in tips alone. And, Rush, she goes to Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT.
