inoskedyou
I would like to know whats a faster way to train range. The options I have is Monkey Guards at Ape Atoll OR PC at world 144. What are your thoughts? edit: My ammo is 15k Iron arrows and alot of Bone Bolts
Harrington
Although I've never used them, the caves in Ape Atol are the fastest if you're armed with Chins. 200k+ per hour apparently. The cannon set up under the lighthouse attacking dagannoths is the second quickest at 100k+ per hour (but no hp exp) For ranging I recommend anything with lower def. The apes are great coz they keep healing but I'm not sure how often you'd hit them. If i'm bow training, I usually do so at the Ogre cages.... good seed drops. inoskedyou
thanks, I'm a little lacking on cash for chins. I always heard Ogres were good for range but why?
vleademir
Chins are very expensive but as above posters said it is the best exp[although you can go for 99 hunt and save time and feel good about yourself  ] PC is nerfed now and the exp stinks imo. Caged ogres are decent, and so is cannon in dagannoth(I believe an above poster said this also) Depends on your amount of money and ability to make it honestly. Harrington
thanks, I'm a little lacking on cash for chins. I always heard Ogres were good for range but why? Three reasons... 1. They can't hit back 2. They have low defence against range (so you hit often and hard) 3. They drop stuff like big bones and seeds.
Nopheo
Cannon at daggs make 100k/hr? At what lvl? I am 81 range.
VjuliusT
Cannon hits the same not counting ranged level. Chinchompas is 2x faster but cost more but you can make that money back in the time it would be using cannon. Chinchompas = +250k an hour, 1k = about 220k experience. Nopheo
I know max hit is always 30 with cannon but lvl doesn't effect anything?
elmo_killer6
I know max hit is always 30 with cannon but lvl doesn't effect anything? Youre range level effects how often your cannon will hit high.
Dexek
No, your level does not effect what the cannon hits. That is why it is a popular 1-40 range training device for beginner pures. Personally, I despise it. Considering your ammo I would suggest training on either Fire Giants at the Waterfall, or Ogres at the King Lathas Training Ground. The fire giants have much more enjoyable drops, but can hit you back if you wander from your safespot while they are aggressive (max 11). The ogres are caged, so they can not hit you, but they only drop seeds (aside from big bones), and even the seeds are a seldom drop. I definitely prefer fire giants myself, but it is your decision. I would suggest testing out both for a day each and seeing which you prefer. Hope to see you at the Fire Giants in W99. : PoetryIndexed Picture 1Indexed Picture 2 Killed my maxed Zerker pure April 2010 Rebooting Runescape
