Brad25891
Well, where to start.. Cirque du freak was originally a book written by the author Darren Shan, and now it is being made into a movie, filming will begin February 2008. So, to all those who have read and loved the books like I have, heres the link http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0450405/ News: 3 new actors announced, John C. Reilly, Josh Hutcherson, Chris Kelly. And for those that are interested in the series of 12 books... Heres the blurb for the first book. Darren Shan's an ordinary schoolboy, until he and his best friend Steve get tickets to the Cirque Du Freak, a bizarre freak show featuring such arcane performers as Hans Hands, Gertha Teeth, the Wolf Man and Rhamus Twobellies. In the midst of the ghoulish excitement, true terror raises its head when Steve recognises that one of the performers -- Mr Crepsley -- is in fact a vampire! Steve remains after the show finishes, to confront the vampire -- but his motives are anything but ordinary! In the shadows of a crumbling theatre, a horrified Darren eavesdrops on his friend and the vampire, and is witness to a monstrous, disturbing plea. Later, in a moment of insane daring, Darren sets out to steal the vampire's magnificent performing tarantula, an act which will have severe, tragic consequences for both Darren and Steve. Their lives will never be the same again ... So yea, If you read/enjoyed the book and are interested in the movie... post! Mercifull
Sounds like a good plot for a childrens telemovie or animated feature but not a full on film. Bloodredsword
I read a couple of the books, and enjoyed them. But I honestly don't think the movie will be THAT good. Is it going to be an instant release? Or is it going to theaters. Listen to the mighty words of Bloodredsword. Tip it MGC Xbox live leader board! BlueLancer
Reminds me.. My parents love Cirque du Soleil for some reason and even bought DVD's... But I'd dub it "du freak" as well. I don't understand what's so interesting about the bizarre music and circus acting... It's so weird it makes me laugh if I concentrate and try to watch it.
