Dust Devil Rune Drops

The beastiary entry for Dust Devils lists what runes they drop, but some of the runes listed are not dropped by them.

 

 

 

This is the current entry:

 

 

 

Fire(37-150), Soul(2,5), Chaos(2,5), Death(1), Nature(2)

 

 

 

I have killed at least 20,000 dust devils while training my attack to 99 and have never once received a death rune or a nature rune. I have also only received chaos runes as a drop of 5. The entry should read:

 

 

 

Fire(37,150), Soul(2,5), Chaos(5)

Since another player sent It in, I guess someone has gotten that drop before. However, Thanks for helping out with that issue. The crew should get around to this thread sooner or later.

Agreed with alina, and as I'm not a bestiary crewbie, i can't change anythng there but; It might be that death/nature runes either previously were dropped by them, OR they were added by an accident (you know, thinking of random runes and then adding them :D )

Perhaps this shouldn't be said, but we really need a better system of dealing with unvarified claims like this. At the moment, we either have to accept, or decline realistically. That's simply not efficient. :x

 

 

 

I'll have a talk to darkblade about what to do about this.

the only hard part is if you are using btp, you might not see nature runes. However, I have killed probably 400 and not gotten any deaths or sets of 2 chaos runes.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but arn't drops dropped randomly? Can't players kill monsters several times, and not get a certain drop?

Indeed, but you would have expected something as common as this to be dropped at least once during those 400 monsters. It seems disproportionate too... it drops 2-5 Soul Runes, but only 1 Death Rune? :-s

 

 

 

I've made a decision. Since two people are saying there's no drop, I'll presume that means it either never existed in the first place, or has since been removed. Both tuttle43 and mchainmail have been credited. If you wanted a different name crediting, PM me.
