Solidus_77
I realise I've made an important mistake in my earlier post. A point I shouldve made was, that the market for currency in runescape is not like the market for currency irl. We both know the worldwide currency market is as real as it is and that money can lose or gain value in that market, in terms of other currency. My point was, that there is no such thing as money loosing value in Runescape, because theres is no real competition for the gold pieces we all use, and thus no other currency to compare it to. Of course, there are things like trading sticks or tokkuls, but those don't have an impact big enough to speak of a real currency market in rs. Ergo, my point was: In Runescape, there is no such thing as currency losing value. Now what you have stated there is basically that the demand for gp remains the same because it's the only currency available. While that may be true, it completely neglects the changes in supply of gp. Now I think we can both agree that the supply of gp is constantly changing is it not? Alchemy, as well as many other activities are clear increases in the supply of money and shop prices clearly decrease the supply of money therefore the supply of gp is constantly changing. Since the supply is constantly changing, then the value of the currency will change and if the value of the currency can change then it is, in fact, possible for the currency in runescape to lose value. 76th to reach 99 Construction on 6th of February 2007379th to reach 99 Runecrafting on 4th of November 2007 Finally the secrets of goal achieving are revealed! thehate
y_anima"]LOL INFLATION? rofl Hey kiddo inflation = money is worth less not more you got it wrong yourself =D> inflation is prices going UP Im sorry, are you stupid? Why do prices go up? Cause santa aint giving out free stuff for christmas? NO. Because the generally accepted trade mark (aka MONEY) goes down in price =D> now its my turn :) prices actually go up because the money is worth less. so for the seller to gain the same as he would BEFORE, he has to put the price up. after Ww2 the german deutschmark was so far down, that everyone was a millionaire. children played with blocks of money. hell i even own an original ONE MILLION DEUTSCHMARK paper note. its worth nothing though.. I have myself 400 billion deutsch mark bill from 1920s, when germany had much stronger inflation
