He1een
I have never been able to post images for some reason. I know how to do it and have a photobucket account for this reason. But every time I try to post an image, all I can see is the code. I can't even post an image as my sig. When I looked at my profile, it says that html is off as is bbcode and I can't figure out how to change that. Don't they need to be on to post images? I've looked in the bbcode guide to figure this out, but it doesn't say how to turn it on, all it says is how to code, which i already know. Any help would be appreciated. Azvareth
Try turning BBCode on by clicking the 'Yes'-box next to it... It should work. // Azvi.
He1een
There is no "yes" box. This is what's there: HTML is OFF BBCodes OFF: Smilies are ON The only link is the BBCodes--to the codes guide. Down in the preferences where it says "Always Allow HTML and Always Allow BBCode" they are already on "Yes" ????????????????

He1een
I can upload the .bmps to photobucket, but I can't post em to the forum. And that was the only problem. I knew you could only post .jpgs but for some reason it didn't occur to me that I wasn't saving my pics in that format. Prepare to see large amounts of pics from me in the future
Myweponsg00d
No, you can post more than .jpeg, I reccomend .png or .gif if you have the right tools to save it properly. He1een
Are .pngs and .gifs better? Every time I try to save something as a .gif, the color gets all messed up. Or is this what you mean by "the tools to save it properly"?
Myweponsg00d
Yes sir, thats what I am reffering to by "The tools". With programs such as Adobe Photoshop 7, you can alter the dither and such on your .gif files. This will result in no quality loss, while still being a small file. .png is probably better to use, however some browzers cannot tolerate that file format. If you are saving images with paint, I would say to try using a .png and see how it turns out. I know that paint doesnt save .gif's right at all, but I really dont know how well it saves .png's. If the .png results in a loss of quality, go ahead and use the jpeg. A lot of people don't like jpeg around here, but if you have no other option then go ahead and use it. Myweponsg00d
GIF: PNG: As you can see, when saved properly, the GIF loses no quality. The only case in which this does not apply is for pictures of real objects. There are way too many colors for a GIF to look nice, in that case use PNG. Size of the above GIF: 8k Size of the above PNG: 16k GIF pwnz j00. Need assistance in any of these skills?
