The Anatomy of LOL

LOL is probably the most used word in Runescape. It means, Laughing Out Loud But most of us say it when we just giggle, or smile. Example.

 

 

 

This, is LOL -> :lol:

 

 

 

This is what we USE lol for -> :D :lol: :mrgreen: :XD: :P

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then, comes LMAO. It means, Laughing my [wagon] off.

 

 

 

This is Lmao -> :mrgreen: :lol: :P

 

 

 

Yet, we use it for much more.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then, theres ROFL. It means, Rolling on the floor laughing.

 

 

 

I'd expect at LEAST this -> :XD:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Finally, there is ROFLMAO. It means, Rolling on the floor laughing my [wagon] off.

 

 

 

Honestly, i'd expect you to be running out of breath at this point, yet, we say it when we SHOULD say: Lmao.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Now, in the long term, none of this matters. Who cares what you say? (As long as it's not offending.) But if you look carefully, there's nothing for just a giggle, or a smile, or a short laugh.

 

 

 

GIG = Giggle...Uh...no. I dont really think that's going to catch on...

 

 

 

Hehe = Hehe... again, no.

 

 

 

 

 

But if there is nothing for just a small giggle, what can we use?
