DaOnLyJoSh
What, in your opinion, is the best gear setup to kill them with, without prayer? I'm killing them now in red dragonhide, but having a tough time... Any recommendations? Barrows Drops: 7Dragon Drops:
icecube
I personally just protect mage when I fight them. I bring around 3 Prayer Pots (4), a Pure Set (4), and Holy Wrench. I use around 2 doses of Pure Set when all my Prayer Pots run out, and I usually get enough ranarr's to cover the ones I used and even more. I wear prayer boosting armor and an Unholy Book. tryto
I always pray alos, you cant so many herbs that it's not worth it not to. transcript80
Praying is the best method in my opinion. However, if you insist on not praying, wear d-hide like you do, snakeskin boots, mind shield or any other mage defence booting gear. At your level, I think you'll have to take a lot of hits, though... Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
DaOnLyJoSh
Yeah, I just finished a run, 26 Monkfish and I only killed 20... I was just wondering if there was an efficient way to kill them without having to use prayer potions. Thanks guys =) Barrows Drops: 7Dragon Drops:
RogueCores
Well for me prayer is definately the best option but without prayer I would say the most efficient setup I used was this: Weapon - Abyssal Whip or for str training you can use scimi but you probably want fast kills. Shield - Mind Shield>Holy Book Helm - Nosepeg(of course) Torso - Karil's Leathertop>Blk Dhide Body - any lower mage defense then this will leave you getting hit very often. Legs - Karil's Skirt>Blk Dhide Chaps - again any lower and you will be taking to much damage to be efficient. Boots - Dragon>Snakeskin>Rune Cape - Mage Arena Cape>Obsidian>Legends Gloves - Barrows>Dragon>Rune Amulet - Salve Ammy(e)>Fury>Glory Here is pic: This should give you a pretty rough idea of what you should be needing in order to fight these without using two monks per kill and if you do decide to use this way good luck for 70 range :D
