how do i get em back?

Just kill the Ice Queen again, I actually have to get them back as well when I decide to do RFD :P

To cool of the cake for that one subquest?

 

There's a few ways to cool the cake down without the gloves...

 

Kill one of those ice monsters on the mountain and it will cool

 

Let it sit in your inven for a while and it'll cool

 

Drop it on ice mountain and then pick it back up and it will cool :P

You'll also need the Ice Gloves for one part of Hero's Quest. I'm not going to spoil it here. Fortunately, you can have as many Ice Gloves as your heart desires.
