what im mainly getting at is what is more usfull extra offensive bonuses or the deffensive bonuses?

No, the both have the +5 strength bonus, however the Obby Shield has decent defensive bonuses while the Rune Defender instead has nice attack bonuses.

Rune defender is very nice especially the 20+ slash bonus really goes good with a whip.

Well I'm lvl 95 and I have both.

 

 

 

 

 

For slayer tasks 75+ (about) I always use obby sheild to minimize the amount of food needed. All tasks below 75 I bring rune defender because I can kill them faster.

 

 

 

My Usual setup is

 

 

 

Helm of neitiznot

 

Fighter Torso

 

Torags legs

 

Whip

 

Rune def/obby sheild

 

 

 

And dboots glory etc.

 

 

 

So If it was a really high level, I would replace torso with Torag's plate and defender with obby.

 

 

 

Vice versa for lower levels.
