I always try to get treasure trails, but whenever I do the reward sucks.

 

I can only get lvl 1 clues, and only off HAM members, whenever I try killing something no matter how long I spend there I can't get any clue scrolls, and whenever I pickpocket HAM members the reward is useless.

 

Is the method of getting the trails the reason I get useless junk?

 

Or is there actually a way to get clue scrolls from monster drops?

No, rewards are not dependent on what monster you get them from, so your method is fine. Just bad luck.

 

 

 

But you could do higher clues, you'll get better rewards, even if it doesn't have a "treasure trail" item in it. Like level 3s typically give rune items.

 

 

 

And yeah, some monsters drop clue scrolls. Search our bestiary if you want to see which.

Do lvl 3 clues..

Level 1 usally gives some crappy rewards. Although, if you have the luck you can find some Prayerbook pages or Vestments of Saradomin, Guthix or Zamorak. THe vestments gives good prayer bonus as far as I know.

 

 

 

Level 2 scrolls could get you rangerboots with luck. And prayerbook pages.

 

 

 

And level 3 the ranger hat, or when you are extremely lucky, and no one has that luck before on this forum I suppose, the 3rd age armor. Possible some blessed ranger armour. And also here the prayerbook pages.

 

 

 

So when I read back, do the level 3. Better rewards such as rune items. Search the Tip.it website for monsters who drop level 3 clues!

Cannon at ankous, by hiding behind a corpse, if they dont get to you, you can fire at all of them in a non-multi area,

 

 

 

ankous drop level 3s, and quite fast id say =], take abit of food with you aswel.
