Nenga Posted December 10, 2007 Share Posted December 10, 2007 I have seen a lot of rants today (12/10/07) on these forums about how jagex screwed up, how everyone is quiting. You have to think of jagex they are trying to fix the problem. I think you have every right to rant (not on general disscussion forum) and I think jagex could have thought this through better, but you have to ask yourself one question: what made you play in the first place according to people WoW had a better combat system so that is not it. Every game has PvP so thats not it. You played it for the community, to talk with friends, so because jagex is taking away unfair trades, scams, etc, you are really going to quit? I call your bluff your friends play this game and that is why you stay. i'm trying to look at the glass half full here think of what this can be. I expect to be flamed for this but remember this is the step jagex has taken because of your whining so if anything this is your fault. Ponies! The majority of the threats of "quitting" will never be actually acted on, or if they are will be a very short break until summoning And yes I find all the goldfarmer/autoer whiners to be extremely funny. They whine about how autoers are ruining the game. Then when they are destroyed they whine about how Jagex went to far. There is still vast amounts of content in Runescape that did not require any of the nerfed parts of the game and now all of those aspects have no goldfarmers or autoers so why are you not happy ? I'm pissed about the trading aspect, but I understand why Jagex had to do it. Would you rather have a runescape filled with autoers and real world item traders? Or runescape with a few features taken away. Let me ask you that. Oh, and don't forget all the ways that these people hurt Jagex as well. I have never played this game only for its PK system or its staking system, or any single theme at all. I played the game for my freinds list, and because my real life freinds played it. Sure, we cant hand out free stuff by the bucketload or stuff like that, but this game is by no means ruined. You can still quest, kill stuff for drops, skill, and the countless other activities you could do. On top of that, the wild(now called bounty something or other) now has a purpose. You dont go in there if you dont want to kill, and have no reason to. That is just the way they made it, and heck, it works for me. If you want to quit because you wasted your time making a pure focused on staking or pking, that is your problem. If that is the case, then you should addapt a more broad view of ideas on what you do in a game. Well, that is my opinion, if you dont like it, deal with it. All the flaming in the world will not change it, so dont bother.
