im trying to get to 99 smithing

Im trying to get to 99 smithing but its taking me forever to even get to 40.Im smithing steel bars nd then cannon balls as it is the most profitable at the moment.But i want to make full rune as i know how much that would make me.The cannon balls method is extremely slow so i would like someone to tell me what is the best bar and what to make bar into for best xp. Ty

First of all how much are you willing to spend?

 

 

 

Do you want fast exp or profit?

 

 

 

Cannonballs are they best profit ive heard of. You could also buy iron bars 200gp ea and make iron knives which sell for 45gp ea... you get 5 per bar... 25gp profit per bar

 

 

 

But if you have a insane amount of money you could superheat gold ores into bars using goldsmith gauntlets from family crest quest. This gives 55.5exp per ore but costs something like 650gp per ore to do as you have to buy the ore which sells for 550gp ea.. then buy nature runes which sells for 250gp ea. When you get the gold bars they only sell for 220-250gp ea.

 

 

 

IMO at level 40 you shouldnt be choosing 99's and also you often lose money when making full rune sets as the bars cost 12k ea and a full set requires 15 bars which in total is 180k but full sets only sell for 160k ea now.

 

 

 

Get your stats all rounded off to 50-60 or get a high stat (85+) and then decide if you want to get a 99 or not.

Actually Gold Bars sell for like 100-150 gp each now.

 

I've bought 30k+ at 110 each.

Just get fletching, or wait till you're used to seriously grinding.

If you think it's really taking forever then don't look at the how much exp to go thing every time you finish an inventory. Also multi-task or something like that. And do you know why smithing doesn't have over 1k people with 99 of it? Well it's because smithing is one of the more expensive skills and if it isn't expensive it is slow.

 

The method i might use for 99 smithing which i will eventually get is super heating. what i do is subtract a coal for a nature rune so instead of a steel bar costing 650 it is 500 instead so you gain instead of lose. Only bad bit is you need a high mining to make this work efficiently which is why I'm mining right now.
