Interesting bug you got there. I would have thought that something as basic and as used as normal chat wouldn't have bugs. Oh well.

If anyone is wondering, that is magic log cutting. As it would be in English...

Either way, the similarities between this and the example given by someone else (someone getting "Aarrgghh"'d) is that the text shown is not created directly by the player, but rather indirectly (either by getting the random event or by choosing to use the particular lecture). Either way, the player does not enter in the text himself to say.
