Boss Key

Featured Replies

Some old games (like Wolfenstein 3D) had a boss key, and the purpose of this key is that when you're at work and you're playing the game, and suddenly your boss comes in, you just hit that key, and the game automaticly pauses and a screenshot of a spreadsheat or a fake dos console is shown, so that it looks as if you're working.

I think something similar would be cool for Runescape: if you press Runescape's boss key, google.com will be loaded in the runescape window, and your runescape character will automaticly be logged out as fast as possible (for example 10 seconds after combat).

There are always situations where this is handy :)

Runescape: Lodev (Combat level been fixed at 101 for years now, Total level 1500+, playing since march 2002)

Arenascape: Lode (Level 240+ Warlock)

Agree, but its should be "Teacher's key" 8)

It can good but I'm sorry I would said "no". It would be affect pking which it's kindly logged or xing.

I don't really understand what you're trying to say (English?), but it wouldn't affect pking, if you press the boss key whil you're pking, you're just totally out of luck because I said "it'll log you out as fast as possible", but while under attack in the wildy it can't log out of course.

So it's your choice which you find more important, not dieing in the wilderness, or have your boss/teacher see that you're pking in the wilderness while you're supposed to work ;)

That would be nice, but I think if you're at school and you're not supposed to be playing games, don't.

For work, I agree :P

Same thing. :P

Why would you even need this? I mean, it's not like RS has a shell that opens over your OS; just open something "professional" in another window and minimize the RS window when needed so the "professional" window shows. Simple.

In fact, I do this when I want to play RS and read online stories like Star Traks; I'll download the story to a word processor like Wordpad, resize it so I can see RS's map behind the story window, and read as I walk.

Theres no way to do that manually? I figured there was, like alt+tab or something.
