Im trying to make a santa hat :):P the shape isnt perfect yet but i know how to make it look a little bit better. C/C hints on how to improve all really apreciated my first try on such a drawing

The white lining should be thicker.. other than that, it's good so far..

k so the underline? and ik now the upper part with the white end has to be some higher thats my shape problem but im going to edit that with a smudge when im finished

It looks a little blurred. But it's still a good design. A little misshapen perhaps.

The top curve of the hat looks.. odd.. Hold on one second, I'll get a reference picture..

The curve isn't sharp enough I believe, you need to make it fold more..

Like Rainy_Day said above it is blurry, the main way to fix that is to not use soft brushes when filling in colors it distorts the edges to much.

 

 

 

The second thing that I think you need to fix is that towards the end of the hat part itself it gets really dark due to shading and then all the sudden it is back bright again at the tip.

 

 

 

Also remember that the bottom edges are not just attached to the hat part they sort of bulge out from it. So try to round them of and make them fluffy.

 

 

 

And then I would say add some folds and such to it to make it look more realistic... but i think they will come out when ever you use a harder brush.

It's the trademark rating of Unoalexi, and anybody who uses it besides her gets their babies eaten.

Rating work doesn't help in the slightest and is pretty much spam without any comments on why or how it may be improved. Saying kittens is only sugar coating this.. :evil:

I would add a hint of fluffiness to it

 

More sharper edges

 

And thicker trimming =)
