Introduction

 

Black Dragons are level 227 monsters. They have medicore drops but the big drop is the Draconic Visage. The Visage is used in Making a Dragon Fire Shield .I will show 2 ways to kill these : range and melee. Both of these methods will be shown in the Evil Chicken's Lair from the RFD quest.

Map and Getting there

 

 

Go through the little shack in lumbridge swamp wielding Dramen staff

 

Use Raw chicken on shrine right next to fairy rings.

 

 

 

 

 

Here is a map of the Evil Chicken's Lair With indicated locations.

>The two red circles surround the two best dragons to melee and keep the range and mage using players happy

Requirements:

 

>75+ melee stats to melee

 

>43+ prayer

 

>70+ range

 

>70+ mage

 

>400k Gold for Supplies

 

>Up to the part of RFD where you save Sir Amik Varze and 75 percent of that section done

 

>Lost City completed

 

 

 

Optional stat(s):

 

>70 hunter to catch imps for boxes which can bank one item and make trips last longer (not for melee users)

Mith bolts..good and cheap for killing.. only lose about 8 per drag

 

Ranging potion (4) to hit more and harder

 

Alternate equipment: Use what you can afford but try to keep range bonus above 120

 

>You can use Bone crossbow with bone bolts if you have a low budget

This is the most costly version of Black Dragon killing

Its a good start for a guide. You should add inventories, a drop log and what bolts to use and things like that.

I've never really hunted blacks, but I don't think (e) bolts would be very cost efficient.

they are better if you can mine the addy smith the bars and make everything from scratch.. you lose 5-7 bolts per kill losing 2-3.5k a kill leaving you with less profit.. But if you want less profit go ahead

1. i would melee blk drags with 75 stats...very slow killing

 

2. unless you have 90+ def, dont melee them without pray...very short trips

 

3. use dimiond (e) bolts, they hit TONS and only like 800 ea, you dont lose much...its worth it...trust me (also use emrald (e) {i think..that right one} to posin them at first if you want)
