December 27, 200718 yr Is it possible to play Runescape on the PS3? I have tried and I can't seem to get it to work.
December 27, 200718 yr Author Thanks, but that really doesn't make a lot of sense to me. So, to play Runescape on the PS3 would I need to install Linux on it?
December 27, 200718 yr Yes^ Why would you even want to do this? :? Listen to the mighty words of Bloodredsword. Tip it MGC Xbox live leader board!
December 27, 200718 yr The same question has been brought up with the Wii Opera Browser. I will assume the same answer applies: The consoles do not support Java Runtime Environment, therefore cannot play Runescape.
December 27, 200718 yr I think you can after installing Linux on it, although it's not going to be lightning fast.
December 28, 200718 yr Doesn't getting a PS3, with all of it's gaming capabilities etc, and using it to play RuneScape, just totally and utterly defeat the object of buying such a console in the first place? :?

Heh, good point. But I doubt the consoles support JRE (Java Runtime Environment). I'd say install Linux on it (I believe it uses Ubuntu), and then make sure Ubuntu has JRE. Then through Ubuntu's web browser, you could play RS. But again, why would you want to play RS on a console?
