Tishala
... if I put someone from friends list on ignore will they be able to see when I log on?
Warrager
Nope. If you have someone on your ignore list, they will not be able to see what world you're on, if you are logged in or not, etc. EDIT: Neither will they be able to PM you. Marco
I think they will be able to see when you log on actually, in the same way that if you have your private chat set to 'friends', someone who has added you but is not on your list will see you log on and then instantly off. meol
I have heard (no proves about this) that they'll still see you on, and will still be able to message you. However, you won't see them messaging you (as if you were -ignoring- them). This signature is intentionally left blank.
Outhit
They will be able too see you logged in but you will not be able to see what they write too you. The best thing to do is just putting your chat on "friends", That is what i do. Ranked as RS 3rd best Fogger of all times by Fog Elite, and is proud of it :)

Sunli
needless to say i like the first answer better. :( I don't want to hurt anyones feelings but ..... :wall: Heres how the chat works; Rightclick your private chat and choose: ON = Everyone can see you logged in, even those on your ignorelist. Everyone, except those on your ignorelist, can send you an ingame message which you can see. You can still see your friends logged in though, those who have private on ON/FRIENDS. PS; If your on someones ignorelist: You can send the person who have put you on their ignorelist but still have private chat sat too ON, messages, but they wont be able to see them. FRIENDS = Only those on your friendslist can see you logged in and send you messages. OFF = Noone can see you logg in or out, neither can they send you messages. How to toggle chat: Rightclick private chat and choose "View friends" and you will only see chat between you and others in the chatbox. All other chat, like the public one and gameinfo will be hidden. You can do the same with all other chat/game option. To get back to normal viewing (all chat and gameinfo) simply click "View All". This goes for the Public - Clan - Trade and Assist options too. - "I am willing to die...I mean try" - Jewelfire (Want to go bossing?) -"we tried, we cried and we died!" - Limparse (What happens to old farts and tarts on monster-hunts) - "...and we found out that there are as many ways to get to warriors guild ...as there are elders trying to get there" - Lysi *snods agely* sorry... *nods sagely* - Brammy -"Equality is being treated the SAME as everyone else; not having special treatment and unique things added in to everything." - Sy_Accursed
Callahan
If you use your ignore list, then people would still be able to see your name appearing as online and will still have the ability to message you, however, you will not receive that message and it will not show up on your chat-box. Most of the time, I simply put private chat on friends and your online status will be shown in red, meaning you will appear offline to those who are not on your friend's list. Good-luck. :D
