It's entirely possible, just takes time.

 

 

 

Basically players will quit very early in Runescape (less than a week), or quit later (1+ year later).

 

 

 

As mentioned, it's hard to quit when you devoted so much time to your account. Unless the game has changed for the worse or you were hacked.

 

 

 

I quit Runescape after 2 years because I felt it required too much time to be successful. Same goes with WoW, I quit it after 1 year because I wanted to focus more on my schoolwork than attending 4 hour raids every other day.
