January 5, 200818 yr I, as an owner of the quest cape, am extremely irritated when Jagex comes out with a new quest, requiring me to drop everything I am doing and run off and do the new quest, no matter how menial or unimportant it is. I'm suggesting that Jagex do one of two things: 1) Give questers a 3-day leniancy, in which they can still wear their cape without finishing the quest. If at the end of the 3-day period the quest is still not completed, then it will be removed in the usual way. 2) Introduce the Trimmed Quest Cape, by using the method I'm about to suggest. Now obviously, the trimmed cape would have to be more prestigious than the regular. For this, I suggest that the trimmed cape is reserved for those who have completed every single quest *AND DIARY*, no exceptions. To obtain the new trimmed cape, you would speak to the Wise Old Man with the untrimmed cape in your inventory and he would trim it for you for no extra charge. If your trimmed cape becomes untrimmed because a new quest (or diary) comes out, it would lose its trim, and you would have to go back to the Wise Old Man after finishing the new quest (or diary) to re-trim it. Now for the untrimmed cape, I believe that Jagex should draw up a so-called "master list" of quests. If a quester has completed all of those master quests, he will be allowed to wear the untrimmed quest cape indefinitely, until a new "master" quest comes out. Here are the quests I am suggesting are placed on the master list to start off with: Darkness of Hallowvale Desert Treasure Dream Mentor Fairy Tale Part I Fairy Tale Part II Heroes Legends Lunar Diplomacy Monkey Madness Mourning Ends Part I Mourning Ends Part II One Small Favour Regicide Roving Elves The Feud Watchtower And all the req. quests for those. This list, of course, is subject to change. I believe an update like this would bring great relief to many fellow questers like myself, who sometimes can't take the time out of their day to help a goblin get shut in a box ;) (Copied from my RSOF post, QFC 24-25-585-55260839, please support)
January 5, 200818 yr Support. I wanted a quest cape, while working for my fletch cape. But I said forget it, I now have a fletch cape, and working for 99 woodcutting =p
January 5, 200818 yr Author Thanks, please try to bump my RSOF is you can, the wagonload of stickies at the top makes it difficult to stay on the first page.
January 5, 200818 yr And why do you have to immediately do the quest? It's not like your character can't survive without the cape for a while. I'd suggest you get a 99 skillcape, perhaps as a filler for the absence of your Quest cape for the time being. ~ W ~
January 6, 200818 yr So.. I'm kind of confused with this. To have your quest cape trimmed, you should have master quests completed that you already have done in order to get the quest cape? That's like saying to have the attack cape, you have to have passed level 38, 45, 76, and 81 to wear it.

That's like saying to have the attack cape, you have to have passed level 38, 45, 76, and 81 to wear it. Thats what i was thinking, in order to get the cape trimmed you must do every quest, now in order to get it trimmed you must do a master quest list that you have already done. So that means what? You got to do the quest again? I like your ideas but you need to think of a better way of getting the cape trimmed. -Support- -Haseo [hide=Quotes]Albel/JustinAlbel doesn't say anything anymore, just comes in, leaves an arrow and vanishes into the night :(Probablypractising some euphoniumYou nearly had me fooled, you fooler youEuphonium/10.9/10. January 6, 200818 yr no, learn to read, you need to do those quests, to be able to wear the cape indefinately
January 6, 200818 yr Author Doing all the quests and achievement diaries is obviously more difficult than completeing only the "master" quests. So if someone has completed the "master" quests, but not some other useless ones, then they are allowed to wear the untrimmed cape as long as they want, even if a new, lower level quests comes out. But, if the player has finished EVERY SINGLE QUEST AND DIARY then they can wear the trimmed cape until the next one comes out, at which point it goes back to untrimmed.
January 6, 200818 yr I think jagex already has a plan for geting a trimed quest cape (hinted at in the last postbag from the hedge for 2007). Realy i'm fine with my untrimed quest cape and I drop everything i'm doing to do a quest anyway. If you don't have fun doing the quests then just don't. Ponies!
January 6, 200818 yr Author I'm not saying I don't enjoy quests (I do, or otherwise I wouldn't have the quest cape in the first place), I'm just saying that taking away my quest cape the second a new one comes out, without giving me a chance to finish the quest, is too harsh. My second proposal was just a way to get it trimmed.
