January 8, 200818 yr So how dangerous are revenants, actually? I'm asking this like, if I had a level 60 character with balanced combat skills but no protect prayers, what could I take out and what could I not? Would it be good to go revenant hunting at all? Thanks for the advice! I'm f2p, by the way. You're being watched.
January 8, 200818 yr Author And what if I really want to? A more elaborate answer please? You're being watched.
January 8, 200818 yr Especially in f2p I wouldn't reccomend it. They are designed to annoy you and really do pack a punch. If you do use dragonhide and loads of food.
January 8, 200818 yr They're not hunting at all for your levels. Check my signature link for a Revenant guide for more info. -Man, I really do love Runescape, and I'm sure if it was a real person I would of asked it to marry me by now.
January 8, 200818 yr Just for the simple fact that they can poison you, and there is no anti poison in f2p, I would have to say it is a bad idea ..... I have learned how to co-exist with them in the wilderness in p2p to do clues and kill green dragons, but they have hit me for 27's, poisoned me, tele-blocked me, so they are not something I would seek out ...I just try to avoid and evade.
January 8, 200818 yr Author And what if I want to have some f2p fun? I think poison is just damage, I can heal it with food until I run out of it, right? Well, revenants don't keep you frozen forever. Thanks to everyone who offered advice. I just tried attacking a revenant hobgoblin with that char. They're too much like real pkers: He hit me with a deadly range attack, so I went melee (after failing to impress him with crumble undead... just testing), then he kept "safing" as some call it, finally, at 1/4 hp he disappeared, and while I was going out of the wildy his twin attacked me. I'll have a tough job. You're being watched.
January 8, 200818 yr Well if you're just doing it for fun, and you're not worried about dying or looking to make a profit ...then by all means go for it ....it just seems they don't show up that often for people who are hunting them, but try to train, do a clue or kill drags in the wild and you are guaranteed an appearance ...they get annoying after a while :x
January 9, 200818 yr So how dangerous are revenants, actually? Thanks for the advice! I'm f2p, by the way. HELL BLEEPING NO!!! I'm not going to go into detail. I'm level 99 with protection prayers I have trouble taking down a level 68 revenant.
January 9, 200818 yr Revenants are like your worst nightmare 1 iteming PKer, but fight like an all-rounder with full equipment. Damage them, and they safe eat, damage them more, and they tele, and if you do manage a takedown, the F2P drop would only be a woeful amount of coins. Exceptions, if you and another player can team one to remove it from an area, or if you have enough food to drive it away alone. With food, my best results have been two driveaways, and had to bail and run 2 or 3 times as well. The only good reason to seek out a revenant, is to get your escape plan sorted.
January 9, 200818 yr Why people want to kill the revenants? They give good drops? If youre really not worried about dying go... just for talking.. I got hit a 25 then a 19 in 2 range attacks, I wouldnt go :D
January 9, 200818 yr No point because if you dont have protection prayers...then you don't have smite.. Meaning you won't get ANY drops, even though they're wont be any over 50k in f2p anyways. Are you sure, I'm lvl 101, I 99% enjoy runescape. Revenants are in those other 1% :o Returned to Runescape June 2011 after a 3 year break :)
