One hitting ores, what levels?

Featured Replies

Does anyone have a list of the various levels at which a player can one-hit mine an ore? I'm most interested in the level for one hitting gold.

Im not sure if it's possible to consistently one-hit gold or even coal. I can tell you for sure you can do iron with a rune pik at like 45.

I believe Iron is the last Ore that you can ever guarantee a 1-hit. Every ore after that will be more likely to be 1-hit at each Mining level, but as tryto says it is never consistant.

I'm 86 mining and i 1-hit coal maybe once every 5 rocks. As for gold, it does get quicker as you level up, but you never get to a point where you 1-hit every time. I think the best you can expect is 3-4 hitting it on average.

at 99 mining it's not even 100% 1 hit coal.

Strangely with WotLK so near, I wished I could delay it a bit to push through that last TBC content in MH/BT :'(.
