The fuzzy stuff around the render doesn't match with the abstractish background in my opinion. I don't like how the text sticks out like that, how it's so big and everything, but that's probably reasonable between people, and the background stinks in my opinion.

That's not blending. Get your smudge tool and smudge the sides into the render. That's blending.

Not necessarily, The render here is blended, it just contrasts a little more because of the noise. I like the noise around it gives more energy to a weary B&W signature. IMO, black and white is harder to work with.
