99 Thieving

I know lots about other 99's but no pretty much nothing about this one, however i heard it is a really fast 99 to get, i was planning this along with 99 FM so they both get trimmed but have a few questions.

 

 

 

The first question is my most important one. I know people use PM (pyramid thing) to get 99 my question is do you have to start from 81, in other words does everyone first get 81 thieve through pickpocketing or w/e then go over to PM because if that's the case, this 99 is out of the window as i HATE pickpocketing, i heard PM is a hell of a lot less boring than pickpocketing that's why i had it in mind. If 81 isn't entirely needed, what is a suitable level to start PM?

 

 

 

Secondly is PM actuallly boring lol i heard people to some extent find it fun, i know all 99's are boring but some are more than others lol as something like 99 fletch, is it like that, just constant repetitiveness, as i said i know nothing about this 99 but heard it was the leadt boring out of the 99's.

 

 

 

Thirdly is it really fast, i heard it was, somewhere in the range of 100 hours, i even heard it being less than 100 which is unbelievable.

99 thieving can be obtained in about 3 days by my calculations at the minimum amount of time.

 

 

 

Ok first we'll start out at level one.

 

Pickpocket me until level 5 with a quick hand and a little bit of luck this will take 10 minutes roughly since you only have to pickpocket them 49 times for level 5.(estimate)

 

 

 

Now your at level 5 what now?

 

Get to the Tea Stall in Varrock. You must steal from there exactly 290 times and it respawns at about every 5 seconds. So this will take you 1450 seconds or 24 minutes and 10 seconds. So now youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re at 34:10 for 21 thieving.

 

 

 

Now buy a scepter if you don't have one already.

 

 

 

Steal from the Pyramid Plunder continuing into the next room whenever you can.

 

From level 21-31 assuming you get the maximum exp for every game searching chest, checking for snakes and searching the urns it will take 12 games or 60 minutes. Current time elapsed: 1:34:10.

 

 

 

 

 

31-41:

 

 

 

If you get the maximum exp for both rooms it will take you 13 games or 1 hour 5 minutes.

 

Current time elapsed: 2:39:10

 

 

 

41-51:

 

Now you will not have time to get the exp from the first room so just get it from the 2 highest rooms you can steal from. This will take 21 games. Or 1 hour 45 minutes. Current time elapsed: 4:24:10

 

 

 

51-61:

 

Same thing steal from highest 2 rooms. This will take 36 games or roughly 3 hours. Current time elapsed: 7:24:10

 

 

 

61-71:

 

You r a big dawg now youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re a master thief. Same thing but you might not have enough time to steal everything from both rooms. So factoring this in it will take 75 games or a whopping 5 hours 15 minutes. Current time elapsed: 12:39:10

 

 

 

71-81:

 

Your that you made it this far. It will take 152 games.

 

12 hours 40 minutes thatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s longer than it took to get to 61 from level 1 by 50 seconds! Current time elapsed: 25:19:10

 

 

 

81-91:

 

You must be tiredÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâæEspecially if youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re on for 25 hours. It will take 226 games, which in other words its 18 hours 50 minutes. Current time elapsed: 44:09:10

 

 

 

91-99:

 

The home stretch to the big leagues. Exact thing but you won't be able to steal all from the room below 91!

 

It's advised you check for snakes and if you have time steal from 1-3 urns from the 81 room. Assuming that you search for all the snakes steal from 1-3 urns from the room below it will take a grand total of 366 games!! Omg hax. ThatÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s 30 hours 30 minutes. Total time elapsed: 77:39:10.

 

 

 

But wait thereÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s more. Factoring in bank trips you will spend 1-2 hours banking and running into the wrong doors outside the pyramid. Grand total time elapsed 79:39:10 whew you own mate.

Wow thanks that's great, would like some others to back this information up because i mean under 100 housr is great =) is it to some extent gun, even doing it 100's of times.

umm to get 99 theiving in 80 hours that means nostop theiving and believe me thats boring and i did nostop theiving for 10 days from 81 to 99 and that was like 10 hour days well wish you the best of luck on 99

I was slightly optimistic about getting it at 80 hours, the above poster said it isn't likely so can someone back this point up.

Well, on the plus side being that you're starting at level 50 and not level 1, according to that guide you shave off about 4 and a half hours. However, his outside game time at 2 minutes is on the extremely hopeful side, you'll also have to factor a lack of knowledge if you haven't done PP before, glitches and lag.

 

 

 

I'd say 80-100 hours is doable, would definitely not suggest less though and that's taking your current level into account.

What quests should i have completed, itchilin's little helper (sp?), contact anything else? Thats really it, the banking in Soph helps alot. Also I did Great Brain Robbery so I didn't have to spend money on Anti's anymore. I can use a full load of lobs now and get great exp before banking again.
