24SE7EN
Nadril: http://www.guildwars.com/faq/default.html Edit: (from the guild wars FAQ) How much will Guild Wars cost? How much will additional chapters cost? Guild Wars will be priced at a comparable cost to other first-tier PC games. The subsequent chapters of Guild Wars will also be comparably priced in relation to other games. and the invitation thing i read about on another forum, which said, if another member of your guild had the expansion/chapter of the game that you didnt, you could be "invited" to play while they are online. or something like that. Nadril
i'm guessing when they say "comparably priced" its just fancy for saying expansion packs will be around the price of other game expansion packs :) Just a mis-understanding realy. Bubsa, your pc should be able to run, but i'm not "sure" about the dial-up. It should be able to do fine though. And i'm not sure about that invitation thing. Mayjest
I'm usually wary of games that promise later 'X-packs', as they tend to be over priced based on the content. Take the Sims, each x-pack was around ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã20-̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã25 in England. Cheaper than a regular, game but you had to have already spent at least ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã35 on the regular sims, and the content inside one x-pack was not enough to warrant it's price tag. Maybe ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã10 max for the content inside. The same with Age of Mythology, I thought the Titan's was a complete rip. The campaign was crap and short, and the Titan's themselves sucked. I loved the new civilisation though, so it wasn't all bad. Still, I thought it was overpriced for what it was. Which is why I am hesitant about Guild Wars. Once an x-pack comes out, everyone online will upgrade to that, so you would have to spend the money to keep up. Not that I'm gonna buy it anyway. I have A2 exams in a month, and am free for around six days during the summer, having been booked completely by friends/family so far. Then I'm off to Belfast for uni, so I don't think I would spend enough time on it to warrant buying it. Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores: Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is! That's why I'd rather stay away from MMORPGs. The game does looks quite good.

That's why I'd rather stay away from MMORPGs. The game does looks quite good. Well, its a bit different from other MMO's. For example, your not spending hours upon hours trying to get levels by standing in the same spot fighting. Your constantly either trading with people, doing missions, PvP , GvG , or just hanging out with your freinds, maybe in your own guild hall. that and the guild support is awsome, and its a ton of fun. Imagine Diablo III (if they had it) with a major emphasis on teamwork in stratagy. :)

We have a guild hall, still praccying for a GvG though.
