ive wanted to try one since it got released (A)

it does not have much use at 64 ranged.

 

 

 

I feel it has no point anyway without dragon arrows. What do you want to use it for?

well at 78 range i hit 36-33 as my max.. you can probaly only hit 28 or so max.

have fun from 64 to 70 and possibly make slayer funnier, i use good arrows

Im gonna train from 64 to 70 range and have fun on slayer, id use steel arrows on noob monsters (ogres lessers) and addy to rune on slayer as i got lots

i cannot suggest it then. you will notice that the simple MSB will cause more damage than the dark bow. The DB is simply much too slow.

 

 

 

Compared to a rune xbow, DB is really worthless.

 

 

 

IMO, the DB's only use is it's special. The ability to KO an opponent fast. So, only use it at high ranged lvls with drag arrows for player vs player combat.

i dont care to much about effectivity, im gonna use verac's flail to and i mostly care about having fun.... will d bow fall i price?

i can't be sure. but it is more likely to fall than to rise in price.

I have a dark bow, and all be it is very cool. Its only worth really is for its special with dragon arrows. Its special + drag arrows (least IMO, and most others too) make it the best range special. But other than that I dont use it.

 

 

 

For training Dark bow = a waste cause of its slower rate of fire. For training Speed > power.

depends on ammo :P

I bought one and did some tests at 73 ranged:

 

Average time to kill a greater with dark bow + bronze arrows = 57 seconds

 

Average time to kill a greater with bone c'bow + bone bolts = 51 seconds

 

 

 

The bone c'bow costs a massive *gasp* 2k and the dark bow is millions :-w

 

 

 

dark bow is only useful for spec in my opinion, if it can be beat by a 2k bow.

Say you're using rune arrows with d bow and magic short Bow. You'd kill faster with MSB. You cant compare things with different arrows and say that one is better than the other. Of course it is, its using better arrows. D Bow isnt worth it unless you're using d arrows.
