Well I just wanted to try to get 150 cats for a fury...this might some work...

You need to get it to either adult, or overgrown (can't remember which) Gertrude won't give you another kitten if you still have one either in your inventory, following you or in bank. So it's going to take a good while to train up those kittens to get enough deaths for a fury.
