xSxqPowerx
Well, every time a skill comes out, I say that I am going to get it to 99. (or high) But I never have gotten a new skill very high. Why will this be different? Yes, I need it for 138 combat... but still I plan on getting 99 summoning. I have the funds. I kind of have excuses for the other skills... Construction... I was raising it, and I was in top 500 for a bit. But I simply couldn't afford it. Hunter... Just never interested me I guess. Ended up training it a bit higher later when it was less crowded. Farming... is now my lowest skill. And if anyone looked at my stats they'd notice that I simply cannot stand training a lot of skills, I just can't do it. Especially when it requires a lot of paying attention. (My only real exception to this is 99 prayer, which I managed to get because it was so fast, and I needed it for 126 combat.) So... I don't even know what I'm trying to get at here. I guess I'm just really hoping that summoning is similar to combat in the way it's trained, or I don't know if I will be able to train it straight to 99, which I really, really want to do. Can anyone give me some tips or encouragement or something for how to train a skill if it ends up not being something I enjoy doing? I've also never set a goal of a 99 skill and gone straight to 99 getting it. Yeah, I am more confused now... \ :XD:
ddaanniiellh
Train some summoning, then go do something else that you enjoy more, then go back and train it some more...and keep doing this until you get 99 basically. ~Ddaanniiellh : 1437 : 173Lowest Combat to 1,000 Total in F2P (23 Combat)Check me out on YouTube! n_odie
:o Make a blog. While there are to many it can be a good way to stick on track. This is because alot of people know you are going for a goal and makes it so you have a way to see the actual progress you have made. How did you afford 99 prayer if you couldn't afford const? :-s And as you said, as all your friends start going for 99 summoning you'll want to be there right with them :XD: RIP MichaelangelopolousThanks to cowboy14 for the pimp sig! Not gonna let myself get so bored that I want to quit before I even reach 138 combat lol. :o Make a blog. While there are to many it can be a good way to stick on track. I didn't become wealthy in this game until quite some time after construction :P I have 135m to spend on summoning currently, if that's what I have to do. n_odie
Totally go for it. Pm me a link to your blog if you make one. And as you know. Focus on the skill when you are going for it. Going to borrows trips and stuff to "take a break" makes people give up. : But then it all depends on what the skill is like. RIP MichaelangelopolousThanks to cowboy14 for the pimp sig! joey11223
you know if you don't have to get to 99. I have no 99's right now but i assume, if i ever get one, it will be combat related. I really don;t like hunter at all, i just doesn't appeal to me, i am only lvl15 and will only raise it higher if another skill i like or a quest that is very necessary needs it. It's similar with farming, although i am going to raise this eventually to grow snapdragons, it is lvl42 now i believe. What i am saying is just have fun, i enjoy barrows and slayer, then rune crafting(lol) and a few other skills. I may buy some 99 skills if i get the cash but i wont get 99's in skills just for bragging rights. However i understand for some it isn't bragging rights it;s self satisfaction, aiming to be the best one can be, i get that to, it's up to you what you do.
