My only summoning suggestion (for skillers)

Featured Replies

Well I absolutely love summoning to say the least, but there is one minor flaw I see where jagex went against their word. They stated that there is plenty for everyone in summoning, EVEN SKILLERS.

Well, I personally am not a skiller (level 104 combat), but I think it is a bit hard on a low level skiller to obtain charms when they must kill high level monsters for them.

Therefore, i think that there should be druids that you can pickpocket in taverly.

I was thinking there could be 3 levels of druids to steal from.

low level druids (30 theiving req?): loot can be summoning pouches (blank), low level scrolls (dreadfowl, spirit wolf, etc.), shards (1-5), low level summoning supplies (raw chicken, iron etc.)

Med level druids (60 theiving req?): loot can be medium level scrolls and pouches, shard drops (0-20), and gold and green charms (1), med level summoning supplies (tortoise shell, granite, etc.)

High level druids (90 theiving req?): Loot can be medium to high level scroll and pouches, shard drops (0-50), all types of charms (1-3), high level summoning supplies (eggs, dagganeth hides, water orbs, etc.)

These druids can be placed throughout Taverly, and I think this would make a great alternative to getting some supplies for those low level skillers.

Yea. Skillers should be able to use summoning without raising combat... But how would this affect non skillers?

Good point. Using thieving would be a good idea. But I don't think that we should limit it there. Put the charms in nests and chests. Find them in nets.

Y'know, a wonderful new method of making charms, pouches and spirit shards yourself would be most welcome.

I like it! :)

I was level 70 before I started doing summoning. I can't kill many of the monsters Jagex listed as commonly-dropping-charms that easily. I've managed to get to level 15 as of now, but I'm going to run out of charms soon enough.

I'm fine with pouches and shards. They're unlimited at the shop, although shards are quite costly. (The coming update will help that though)

But charms...We need many other ways of getting them. Thieving is definitely a pretty good possibility. But as Jagex said that Summoning would be to Hunter as Smithing is to mining, how about using Hunter as a method? Whenever you catch something with Hunter, you could get some charms. (The higher leveled the monster you catch, the better/more charms you get) Or, you could be able to trade items you get from Hunter to some guy for charms.

This is a great idea, because I've been killing ogres and stuff that drop charms for a while and I've gotten barely any. But I can't see any charms in the low level druids, maybe put some gold ones in? :D
