January 22, 200818 yr A lot of people base overall ability with combat level and equipment, there's nothing wrong with that. It's the first thing you see when you see a player. The opposite can occur when a lvl 130 is found wearing full bronze. It's more or less a "surprise" factor, oh you thought this level 3 was fresh from lumbridge but he actually has 99 in 6 different skills. People also have the "urge" to train combat, and resisting that urge also proves a certain amount of mettle. It's a lot easier now, but it was pretty profound in RSC when materials needed to be gathered by yourself and there weren't many places to gather them without aggressive monsters nearby. I know a lvl 3 wouldn't have survived long in dwarven mines or the al kharid scorpion pit. And it is harder to get skills at a certain level. Because of its difficulty, attaining such a feat provides a certain uniqueness and ability. You're saying you wouldn't be impressed by a lvl 3 with a slayer cape? It's similar to the reason why we watch T.V. - to see things out of the ordinary that is refined to a form we can casually enjoy. They do deserve a certain amount of prestige for that.
January 22, 200818 yr Yeah, I don't understand why people wouldn't want to play the game to it's fullest. I know people do it for recognition, but isn't being able to explore everywhere etc better? Of course it is better and more fun to explore everything in a game but It is not about recognition when players don't become members . Some people have their own reasons not to become a member and there are plenty of reasons O:). *Started Runescape in 1st of August 2005*.
January 22, 200818 yr A lot of the people want to just create titles for themselves or something special because they want respect from others For example, the first person who ruined their "maxed" tank account (99 def, hp, range, magic) with 99 prayer. Then about five other people thought that was cool so they went and ruined their accounts by getting 99 prayer as well. Then they go into the wilderness and realize they can't get any kills because 99 prayer is a major disadvantage Same goes for most people who created cruddy PK'ing accounts like the "obby maulers" with 1 attack. Yes they are kinda neat and unique, but they fail to achieve their original purpose, which is to get kills.
January 22, 200818 yr I am so sick of hearing how a 99 at level 3 is sooooo much better. It sickens me to think people create these accounts just for a bit of "fame" while they let their level 120 rot away on members. What's wrong with fame? A lot of people want it and it's very hard to earn on a level 120. It's easier to gain fame on a f2p/level 3 account. What's wrong with taking the "easier", "smarter", "more efficient" (or however you want to call it) to get it? Besides that, maybe they got boring of their old account and wanted a new challenge. I am going to go a step further here and say the same thing about untrimmed capes, whipty dooooooo. Good job on the untrimmed hitpoints cape....too bad it doesn't give you the +4 Prayer bonus because you didn't want any other skill to be level 99 with it. Get an untrimmed slayer cape and say it again please. An untrimmed HP cape shows you favour balanced combat stats (or at least melee) and don't cannon for range xp. I don't say either of those is right or wrong, but why is it wrong to show your balanced combat? That's the reason those capes were implanted in the first place. When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done. All skills 80+
January 22, 200818 yr I don't really stay a non member player because it is cooler to have 99 Skills in F2P or for the challenge . Yet in your signature you make it seem as if 1400 total level is better in f2p than in p2p.
January 23, 200818 yr but if you're lvl 3... it may help because less revenants can kill you... :-s (really unsure of this because lvl 3 dont go to wild, there is only combat things there...)
