Why cant we fight, steal from each other on the streets in runescape. Like you can randomly fight some one not in wild but just randomly, and of course not till u kill him, there would be a number of hits you can hit. Or you cal also steal from players :) wouldnt that be fun to do :)

The reason you can't do these things is because too many people are jerks! It's why I avoid the wildy most all of the time; not because of legit PKers, but because of people who want to kill you just to be annoying. Although I'm one of the top 3000 thieves, I would also be really frustrated if other players could steal from me. Maybe that could be added to the wildy, thieving for others, but that's as far as I'll go.

1) people would complain about their party hat being stolen.....

2) runescape classic use to be like that and it was great. almost wish they would put that back in to it.

(if u dont know what im talking about then here)

back in rsc, you could attack any body outside a town as long as you had your setting set to pker. and let me tell u something, IT WAS AS FUN AS HELL =p

Runescape is fine, its just the idiots who run Jagex that ruin the game.

To add to what lpinkus said; imagine being a lvl 3 fresh from Tutorial Island, and your very first RS experience upon appearing in Lumbridge is to get attacked and have all your things (as paltry as they may be) stolen! This is what happened when the whole world was PvP and why Jagex made the Wilderness.

I, for one, would hate it going back to being that way. Not because I have anything "rare" (my most valuable items are only my full Rune), but because the levels of noobishness would skyrocket in the game far higher than they are now, making the game virtually unplayable.

No... you couldn't attack anyone in lumby, and there was no tutorial island back then

I appreciate your opinion, that you found the old way fun. However, if it changed so that anyone could attack anyone, anywhere, regardless of being "set to PKer," I would be five dollars richer for the rest of my life :)
