Something that could draw more attention... how about some sort of monthly featured story posted as an announcement on the website? (Maybe a Runescape and a non-Runescape one).

 

Users usually don't like Rank Contests that require some sort of 'talent' :( That basically includes anything to do with art, writing, etc.

 

 

 

I think talent is mostly apreciated on the Varrock Library, so a contest would be perfect. Maybe the reward could be something like an underbanner, or yes, a special rank too.

Ok, the only observation is that the cheaper stuff looks really basic, the elemental sheild is three concentric circles. Whereas my shield was a bit pointy as well, it sort of looked like I put effort into it(It was actually pure chance).

 

Its just those little things, I mean your armour is amazing, much better than anythign I could do...The only thing is...Dragon, magic, fourth age...They are sort of the things that matter to an audiance. Anyway gtg.

EDIT: I just noticed it says East to Village 2, when it really should say West to Village 2. :oops:

VERY COOL!!!

 

Smaller roads might be a good idea though they make the houses seem tiny. Also there shouldn't really be a bank, people keep their items in their houses by use of a chest...or a set of locks on the doors and windows...means stories have more freedom. :) More freedom more stories!

 

 

 

Also to begin with it is oasis looking, no this way to something else.

Star map is kind of done, I have one for the Northern Hemisphere in Spring and Summer. I've named some of the stars, if you have any ideas for other star names, I could definitely use them. I tried to draw some goblins, centuar, and a minotaur last night, and they didn't turn out so great...

 

I was thinking some sort of very bright North Star. Some constalations (sp) are Archimage's Staff, Xewleehr's Sword, Hawk's Feather, Shield, Hunter, Bow, Arrow, Hut, Bucket, Dipper, Dragon, Demon, Dodo, Bird, and Ursa, after some of the creatures Xewleehr named.

Well, Archimage said to write my story, so here goes...

 

 

 

I, Hawkxs, (commonly known as Hawk) found myself in a bar one day. I think I helped create the bar, but more trustworthy sources (Archimage) say I didn't, and that I was drunk at the time.

 

 

 

In the bar, I met Archimage and Xewleehr. We ventured away from the bar (which was in the middle of nowhere) and into the desert. We came to an oasis, and so we named our world, for if we hadn't found the oasis, we wouldn't be here right now. I built a small house with the help of Archimage and his glyphs, some of which I'm learning now. I have apparently mastered the magic language (or at least Archimage, who can't do anything with it, and Xewleehr, who's sword kind of guy say). So if you need help with it, come to me I guess.

 

 

 

I reckon I've been around about twenty-six seasons, give or take... And my ears are kind of pointed, which makes Archimage say that's why I'm good at magic, both the language and the glyphs. I always wear my jester hat, even if I'm fighting a monster. I have an ankh that has 'grandfather' inscribed on the back of it. My eyes are purple, yet another possible sign of magic. My hair is a sandy brown, but I think if I lived in the north, it would be darker. I practice with my sword, Zarrlor, behind my house, attacking a dummy made for that purpose. I have a dark bow that I practice with too. I see myself as a jack-of-all-trades; I'm decent at magic, archery, and swordsmanship, and I read and write a lot. Most of Archimage's books have my illustrations in them. Mine do too. I have to say my favorite food is dragon cake, the recipe to which only I have. I've never killed a dragon, but I talk to them on a regular basis. You learn a lot from them. I guess I'm also our first astronomer. I study the planet's two moons and all the stars. I named most of the constalations (sp).

 

 

 

In my spare time, I play sticks-and-rock with whoever will play. I usually watch the goal. I draw what I see, even if it's not very good. Zarrlor gets lots of use, but it's truely my pens and inks that get the most use. 'The pen is mightier than the sword,' they say.
