jgrazotis Posted June 13, 2008 Share Posted June 13, 2008 well i bought The Orange Box a few weeks ago and installed TF2 and Portal, every time i tried to open Portal it froze on the Loading screen, i had to ctrl+alt+del to get out of it, TF2 worked fine, but after the last update, i updated today, i open it and after a few mins on the Loading screen, it closes with that Send error report box Help with this problem will be much appreciated thanks to mitsubishi64 who made this sig Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

See if that fixes the problem first. I was going to eat hot dogs for dinner tonight. I think I will settle for cereal. OPEN WIDE HERE COMES THE HELICOPTER. Dracion1 Posted June 13, 2008 Share Posted June 13, 2008 Shouldn't this be in Tech and Computers? Page pool memory was a big problem for me when I first bought the games. Go to Start > Run and type "msconfig". If you uncheck anti virus and other unnecessary programs and components from the services and startup tabs, it may be some help. Failing that, some system specs would be useful so the problem could be diagnosed further. "In the beginning, the universe was created. jgrazotis Posted June 14, 2008 Author Share Posted June 14, 2008 ive tried a few of those things and there not working too well for me i player Battlefield 2142 yesterday and i tried to play today and i ended up staring at a black screen when i played TF2 sometimes there was a message in the top corner of the screen in red saying OS Paged Pool Memory Low or something similar edit: Battlefield 2142 works again, i dont know if it was one of the things i did or because i didnt wait long enough for it to load, i dont know but it going good again, i tried TF2 just before and i had to restart my comp again thanks to mitsubishi64 who made this sig Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
