Hey! I just started making pics and I need all the advise and help I can get so if anyone has any for me please let me know

sorry man but that doesnt look too good. Some things you may want to do to improve that, go for simplicity with the ipod look, and gah! that chrome filter or whatever that is is ugly. I think it would look a LOT better if you would have just left the outlined person black, then NOT put those lens flares...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The text needs work, I cant say this enough, simple text is NOT GOOD, you need some layer styles or an outline. To add an outline just select your text and then add a black 1 px stroke. Layer styles are easy enough to figure out...

ok next... BAD BAD TEXT! OMFG NEVER PUT THE TEXT OVER IT LIKE THAT... ahem. get some better texts and limit yourself to one quote or stat and your name, NEVER EVER EVER put your name in the middle like that, its also poor quality, save as a .GIF (if your using photoshop: Export>GiF) or you could copy and paste it into paint and save as a png (ultimate quality, higher file size) plus it looks like you overused the blur tool, next time put some brushing in there or blend the pic better.

anyways back on topic. download better fonts, play around and find a perfect spot to place them... especially the name. good font site i use are:

the background could be alot better, if you're using photoshop i suggest to learn how to do grunge/abtracts. alot of tutorials out there... just can't remember then right now. :roll:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and with the rendered pic, the black figure person with the ipod. was it like that or did you play around with it with effects and such? doesn't really look too good and try to make the background similar to the rendered pic, it'll look much better.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

and place a border on it. if you're using photoshop, follow these steps:

 

 

 

1. press ctrl + shift + n (make a new layer)

 

 

 

2. press ctrl + a (selecting the whole layer)

 

 

 

3. then click on Edit > Stroke...

 

 

 

4. set width to 3 px and colour to white

 

 

 

5. repeat steps 1,2 and 3.

 

 

 

6. set width to 1 px and colour to black.
