i think the best bet is the DFS, not only is it the best shield in the game with over 70+ stats for melee defense. It also has a high range defense and a +10 mage defense, group this with its +7str and it's a shield for all occasions. Personally i do notice the high defense.

well obviously given the choice everyone would pick the DFS, but the price tag (24mil) is a bit more than most people want to pay for their shield...
