what is the best set up to fight waterfiend and what are the recommanded lvls?

I took the liberty of updating my summoning guide on how to collect charms.

 

 

 

I would reccomend 80+ stats, and 68 summoning. If not, there are more methods to collect charms.

Would help if you told us your stats

Normal fighting setup except use Karils body and skirt for mage defense. Sara Sword is my weapon of choice but anything with a crush option works.

 

 

 

Top line of inven have Guthans. Take super strength, attack and defense pots and about 10 prayer pots. Take a few sharks for emergencies.

 

 

 

Pray range the whole time and make sure your weapon is always set to crush. Heal using Guthans when you get to half life.

 

 

 

If you have 68 summoning bring a Bunyip and some swallow whole scrolls. This lessens the need for Guthans although I still bring it as sometimes they get lucky with 3 highish hits in a row. You will need to summon it when you are in the Dungeon though as you can't take it through the whirlpool. Bring another pouch and a summoning potion if you can last that long.

 

 

 

Try it yourslef and you will learn your ideal inventory. I don't need many prayer pots at 70 prayer but others need more.

 

This is my inventry setup when I went there last. I was on slayer task so replace black helm with neit helm or beserker. The flail is because I am a cheapskate and dont want to buy a godsword/ss :P but can be replaced with any gs/ss/zammy spear/torag hammers etc.

 

Black d hide can be replaced by karils, or any other magic defence giving clothes, as waterfiends attack with mage and range.

 

If you are not on slayer task dont bring gem and bring another shark. If you are not using guthan, bring less prayer pots and more food. One healing fimilar is usally enough for just under a trip.

 

As well as this, if you are killing in the barbarion dungeon, you will need a anti-fire shield as you run past the brutal green dragons.
