Red Chin hunting

Featured Replies

I am going for 99 hunt because it seems like its my only sure option of making money at the moment. Now i've hunted chins before but i'm wondering if its worth it to use any familiars for a hunting boost, or any other neat tricks besides wearing larupia and catching imps when possible.

Thanks.

You can place your traps around one spawn, and catch only ~20 chins less per hour than in an empty world, except this also works on full worlds. Place the traps around the spawn like this:

T S T

T T T

Bring a bow to shoot them if they escape.

A spirit larupia is worth it for me while catching red salamanders (5-10k extra xp per hour), so I'd say it is also worth it for chins. You don't need much inventory space anyway.

Thanks but why the loss of some chins? And why does it only work of full worlds?

Full worlds = faster respawn time, so faster chins. You can do this on world were there are lots of people trying to catch chins because you only need one spawn, so it isn't a problem.

I don't know why it's a bit slower, it's the same as with yaks I think. They do respawn within like 5 seconds, but it's still faster if you have more yaks to kill.
