Mastersigmaker
Well its been, what... 3-4 years I'm guessing. I thought I would drop in a say hello. I doubt I know any of you new people here. I stopped posting when they put a ban on selling sigs for in-game cash (the good old days). So anyways, I was thinking I might get back into pixel-art here now that I have taken an extensive break and have the patience for that kind of thing. So in light of things to come I thought I might post some of my really old work I did here and even before that. A word of warning though, its not the greatest lol. This last one is a more recent piece. its still a work in progress at the moment. Well thats all I really feel like uploading at the moment. I'll be glad to take some c&c on this stuff if you want to give some. And I will post some new stuff soon as I get some made. Anyways thanks for taking a look and see you again soon. ~MsM~ you should never attempt to insert a floppy disk in a 56X CD-ROM drive, as floppy disk shrapnel hurts
Jopie211
#1 and 2: They look quite promising, not terribly exciting but I imagine they would look quite good with a background. #3: Certainly not the best of sigs. There are messy white pixels all over the place, the anatomy is off and the shading isn't very realistic. Also, is it just me or do some of the lines look like they were auto-antialiased? #4: I really like what you did with the grass in the background, even though the hills (assuming that's what they are) are really unrealistic. The animation looks good, but the whole mage lacks shading. #5: Again, quite a decent background, but the character lacks shading. Also, I think some of the colours you use are a bit too bright. #6: Same as above really, but the linework of the jetty looks a bit messy and could do with some cleaning up. The pose of the character seems too static, too. The more recent piece is really cool actually, I like all the different colours and it is clear that a lot of hard work went into it. Good job. pixel avvy by me deviantART
Mastersigmaker
I should have mentioned also that 1&2 are newer as well, perhaps within this last year I think. #1 was never ment to be anything more then what you see there: a pratice piece. #2 like most of my recent stuff is still unfinished. As for the grass on the 4th one... I think you save as 28-bit .jpeg and then re-save as a .gif to get the texture. #'s 3-6 all suck (well maybe not #4 so much). You notice none of then have any noses? I really sucked at making people back then and still even some now. I don't think I even tried to draw feet on any of them. I'm trying to think of something to make as we speak. Any ideas? you should never attempt to insert a floppy disk in a 56X CD-ROM drive, as floppy disk shrapnel hurts

Sam
They all look really good, but I think you need to work on making some of your stuff a bit more 3D. You've done your shading really good aswell. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
Chazimcgee
Welcome back :D Hmm i see you like the saturated more colourful colours :o I like the top two images, the characters looks good and have potential. The other ones seem a bit basic try using less saturated colours so they are easier on the eye. I like the last one, must have taken ageeess. It seems a bit pointless but cool none-the-less Welcome back and keep up the pixelling Sn'C Events Team Member942nd to 99 hunter 2/8/07|26,042nd to reach 99 fletching 27/10/07|Quest Cape Achieved 22/1/08|50,000th to 99 Cooking 29/10/08Dagannoth King Drops: 7 Zerkers 2 Axes 3 Warriors | Armadyl: 1 hilt first ever trip and kill | Barrows: 2 Dharok Legs 1 Ahrim Skirt 1 Torag Helm 1 Guthan Spear
