what do you think about the new player graphics?

Featured Replies

Im sure most people have seen the pictures from the new development diary and thus also 'the first proper screenshot' picture.

how do you guys think about the pictures of player characters that jagex showed us? personally i think the big feet, long arms are the main drop downs. The hands dont have fingers, but ive never cared about that though.

also... do you guys think the player 'improvements' (geuss it depends on ur view if its an improvement) will only apply to the new detail mode, or the old ones as well?

Meh: Post in the other thread. But please read what Jagex wrote first before posting again...

"We've also reworked human NPCs and chat heads, and the player kit. All of these area and NPC improvements will be available in the existing detail modes, too, so even if you don't play RuneScape in its updated graphical form, there's still something for you"

"We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. If we let players start doing this, it devalues RuneScape for others. We feel your status in real-life shouldn't affect your ability to be successful in RuneScape" Jagex 01/04/01 - 02/03/12

well, theyr quote leaves some doubts to the fact if the player updates apply to old detail modes as they didnt stated it literally. wich is what confusses me.

.. i swear i saw that name on that post on the rs forums too.. only posts there always dissapear due massive bumping there with other threads =\ anyway, would like if this could be confirmed.

You cant get any clearer than what they have already said. Thats why they wont keep posting about it on the forums.

Edit: That quote was taken directly form Jagex in the Development Diary.

Normally, I would praise it and be excited... but since my computer dosent have the requirements, PSSSHHH Who needs graphical updates, GIVE US IN-GAME UPDATES.

On a more serious note, I hope everyone else will have a good time playing on the new graphically enhanced Runescape.

Break the Walls down!

i can compare it fairly with Warcraft 3 but the requirements seems a bit complicated though. I'm sure my labtop can run WoW smoothly. it shouldn't be any different with this.

I am loving the new graphics and my computer should be able to safely handle the graphics. I think they will take some getting used to but I am loving them already.
