May 28, 200521 yr I don't care to a great extent. I don't care even if it was a 'fluke'. All I care about is saying we're the Champions of Europe. And you're all not. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
May 30, 200521 yr You can hardly say we fluked it when we beat the eventual winners of the Premier League and the Serie A, just to get to the final, that's saying something right there. Particularly when we managed to beat Chelsea, who clearly domintated the Premier League all year. We showed why we are the best team in Europe by accomplishing the impossible to claim that title. May 30, 200521 yr If Liverpool dont get to defend their title next year it'll make a mockery of the tournament after all its the Champions League and they are the champions. It wont make a mockery, they are the fifth best team in England, they don't deserve to be in the CL next season. That fool Phil Thompson said that he wouldn't care if they aren't allowed in if they win the trophy, so why can't the rest of you scousers? And anyway, whats the point? Even if you get in, you won't actually defend it, I highly doubt Liverpool will fluke the cup two seasons in a row. Give someone who has done better than you this season a chance. You ruining this topic because of flaming.

Here's a film recommendation for you, i have a feeling you'll enjoy it: Gah, not funny. And it was a fluke, simple as that. Yes, they beat chelsea, but the "goal" wasen't a goal. Anywhere apart from Anfield and it wouldn't have stood, and remember back to the Juve game. Del Piero scored a perfectly good goal, but it was ruled out for offside. Anywhere but Anfield and it would have stood. That goal would have taken Juve through. Why does everyone suddenly love Liverpool now anyway? If Man United won the Cl, no-one would care and no-one would claim how brilliant a victory it was. And cluck, your logic is that if someone disagrees with your completely correct opinion, then its automatically flaming. Brilliant logic, there.
May 31, 200521 yr Gah, not funny. And it was a fluke, simple as that. Yes, they beat chelsea, but the "goal" wasen't a goal. I swear to god, every topic on football this board has ever had has been ruined by you flaming anything that isn't pro man united. You want to talk about flukes and decisions that shouldn't have stood, i suppose a manchester united fan is the best person to talk to - only at old trafford could a ball that travelled 3 yards over the goal line be deemed as not having crossed the line. Here's a statistic for you Mr. Fairness, in the 1999/2000 season a study was conducted that showed 85% of refereeing decisions went in favour of Manchester United. What more do you want? And Liverpool winning the champions league final was a fluke, yeah sure, they just fluked qualifying for the cup, getting through their group, and then beating 4 other teams to lift the cup - all down to luck. All you've proven in this topic so far is you're a whining little twerp, and it's getting real tired. Can't you just once forget that being a Manchester United fan automatically makes you a complete tosser, and recognise when credit is due? Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.

If you actually read this topic, I have already admitted that to come back from three goals down against the best team in the world is a pretty mean feat, and all credit to them on their comeback in that game, but you can't deny, they needed immense luck in both the Juve and Chelsea games. I didn't know about the 85% statistic, but its exactly the same story with Arsenal. The linesman at Highbury would have ruled out the goal that wasn't a goal from Spurs if he was in the same position. It was impossible to see that it was a goal from where he was standing. If I remeber correctly, wern't you the one who was whining in a topic a while back, complaining that at the Old Trafford game, Ferdinand should have been sent off, the penatly was not a penatly, etc???
May 31, 200521 yr UEFA are apparently still deciding, but I really hope Everton get the slot, and not just because i'm annoyed about Liverpool, but to reward their brilliant achievment this season. It'll be good to see a team like that in the CL. If there is a one thing that Arsene Wenger said right, it was when he said Everton should get the final spot. He said the Premiership is a level playing field, as anything could happen in a knockout game, and you should be rewarded over 38 games, not one. I have to agree with that completely. Everton have been the better team this season, they should get the final spot. Liverpool have won it, fair enough, but they were not as good as to qualify again. And I refuse to congratulate them on something they didn't deserve. uefa cant say which team gets in, the fa said everton willg et in due to being fourth, but uefa can say that liverpool also play next year

I'm not gonna debate the goal that never was or any of the rest of it, but i can assure you that no team has ever manipulated te refs to the extent that man utd have. Anyone who argues that is a fool. If I remeber correctly, wern't you the one who was whining in a topic a while back, complaining that at the Old Trafford game, Ferdinand should have been sent off, the penatly was not a penatly, etc??? No, i was the one saying the better team on the day won. You, unsurprisingly, were whining about Ljunberg diving - completely ignoring your own Mr Rooney, who could have won an olympic medal with his display on that day. Kirk and Lars I could handle. At the same time.

I have to amit that we manipulate refs, but so do Arsenal. Sio do all the big teams, really. Arsenal have come into their own doing this, remember the Fulham game where the ref gave a penatly, only to reconsider after you players had protested and crowded round him. As they do. I only claimed that Ljunberg had dived to counter your whines, and he did go down really easily. Yes, the Roony pen should not have been given, but about five minutes after, Ashley Cole typically hacked down Rooney, and the most blatent penalty ever was not given, so it levels out.
May 31, 200521 yr Just how it levels out that in the Chelsea game, had the goal not been given, we would have had a penalty and Cech would have been sent off. Of course we would have missed it, but Chelsea would be minus superman. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
June 3, 200521 yr Lol, I lost $200 on this one... Couldn't believe it when they came back from 3-0 to 3-3 and won on penalties. I was very confident that Milan would win, guess I was wrong then. 200 bucks more to the betting agent but damn that was entertaining anyways. 8)
