You can hardly say we fluked it when we beat the eventual winners of the Premier League and the Serie A, just to get to the final, that's saying something right there. Particularly when we managed to beat Chelsea, who clearly domintated the Premier League all year. We showed why we are the best team in Europe by accomplishing the impossible to claim that title.

 

 

 

 

If Liverpool dont get to defend their title next year it'll make a mockery of the tournament after all its the Champions League and they are the champions.

Del Piero scored a perfectly good goal, but it was ruled out for offside. Anywhere but Anfield and it would have stood. That goal would have taken Juve through. Here's a statistic for you Mr. Fairness, in the 1999/2000 season a study was conducted that showed 85% of refereeing decisions went in favour of Manchester United. What more do you want?

I didn't know about the 85% statistic, but its exactly the same story with Arsenal. The linesman at Highbury would have ruled out the goal that wasn't a goal from Spurs if he was in the same position. It was impossible to see that it was a goal from where he was standing.

UEFA are apparently still deciding, but I really hope Everton get the slot, and not just because i'm annoyed about Liverpool, but to reward their brilliant achievment this season. It'll be good to see a team like that in the CL. If there is a one thing that Arsene Wenger said right, it was when he said Everton should get the final spot. He said the Premiership is a level playing field, as anything could happen in a knockout game, and you should be rewarded over 38 games, not one. I have to agree with that completely. Everton have been the better team this season, they should get the final spot. Liverpool have won it, fair enough, but they were not as good as to qualify again.

I have to amit that we manipulate refs, but so do Arsenal. Sio do all the big teams, really. Arsenal have come into their own doing this, remember the Fulham game where the ref gave a penatly, only to reconsider after you players had protested and crowded round him. As they do.

 

 

 

I only claimed that Ljunberg had dived to counter your whines, and he did go down really easily. Yes, the Roony pen should not have been given, but about five minutes after, Ashley Cole typically hacked down Rooney, and the most blatent penalty ever was not given, so it levels out.

Just how it levels out that in the Chelsea game, had the goal not been given, we would have had a penalty and Cech would have been sent off. Of course we would have missed it, but Chelsea would be minus superman.

Lol, I lost $200 on this one... Couldn't believe it when they came back from 3-0 to 3-3 and won on penalties. I was very confident that Milan would win, guess I was wrong then. 200 bucks more to the betting agent but damn that was entertaining anyways. 8)
